The location part 2

Here are some more pictures from out location. The first is of the arbor, where I want to have the ceremony. You can see the hydrangia bushes on either side, which will hopefully be in full bloom in June. I love it because it really doesn't need any decorations. Its so naturally beautiful. Just imagine chrsitmas lights filling up the top area. The only problem is the view. I'm not sure where the attendants would stand so that they can see without being in everyones way. Suggestions?
Next up is the Pavillion. You can see how huge it is. We'll have several tables set up and a dance area maybe in the center. I'd

like to wrap rope lights around the support beams and have large lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Other than that, there are no other decoration "plans" We want to use a lot of indirect lighting- so candles are also an idea we're playing with. I just don't want anyone (me) catching on fire. I'm too clumsy to have a ton of candles at my wedding.

  1. I love seeing the pictures of the venue! I tried to look on their website, but I couldn't really get an idea of what a wedding would look like and this is great. I think candles are do-able, just not big ones that are free standing on pillars or anything, then I could definitely see someone catching on fire (especially if there is alcohol involved). But I think candles incorporated into the centerpieces would be very attractive! I love your rope lights and lanterns idea. Maybe you could do hanging baskets in between the pillars or something? How do they normally set up for a wedding underneath the arbor?

  3. Well they don't do any set up other than table and chairs. We went Saturday and there was a wedding but we couldn't get up to the pavillion to see. I guess big candles in glass jars would work?
