That night we went to Amy's wedding and I was popping advil all night just to tolerate the sunburn. The next morning, Sunday, Walt woke me up and wanted to go for a walk on the beach to see the sunrise. My skin hurt really bad but Walt was being so sweet I couldn't turn him down. We got maybe 10 steps down the beach before I started whining about my sunburn. He stopped me and said, "Kelly, I've loved you since the day I met you." Always quick to make a joke I said back, "So now you don't love me anymore?" He said, "No, I'm going to love you forever..." and started down on his knees. I really thought he was messing with me and was about to get mad when he pulled out the ring box. Of course I said yes and forgot all about my sunburn.
Once upon a time, a girl from the North Georgia mountains did the unthinkable... she fell for a boy from 'Bama. Follow along as they plan their wedding.

Our Engagement Story
Walt and I went to Fort Morgan beach for the weekend back in April for my friend (who is also our photographer) Amy's wedding. We got down there late Friday night, woke up Saturday, went fishing all morning, and played on the beach. I got really, really sunburned.
